La Piazza al Forno in Glendale

What an amazing person the owner is. Helping out hungry schoolchildren is truly an admirable act. My children shouldn't need it but I am truly grateful for the work you are doing.

I was slightly tempted to add another star. Ratings are so subjective what does it really mean anyway.Counter guy was friendly. I have no problem with paper plates. Outside seating has a nice ambiance between historic downtown buildings except that plastic patio chairs aren't the most comfortable. Still not a big deal. Today there was plenty of shade.Slightly pricier than other options around though. I'm no authority on New York pizza but other reviewers have declared this to be best-ever fare and I think that's a stretch. By-the-slice was limited to two choice: pepperoni and cheese. I take it that's normal and possible not a fair assessment of the entire menu.The space is small and I can tell it gets hot working near the oven. Factor in bonus points for replicating an NYC venue?I'm glad places like this exist.

Best pizza in town!

Came here this past Thursday night. It's a staple for us. Not only do they have amazing food they care about the community they serve. If you haven't heard, all three of their outlets are providing school children lunches during this Covid-19 crisis. Hot, fresh and nutritious meals to those who would not have food. Thank you Justin and Rachel!

I had a friend take me to this nice pizza place that I didn't even know existed. I didn't know what to expect because I really don't hang out in Glendale very often. So I have to say that I was mildly surprised when the pizza ended up being delicious. I guess had a cheese pizza but everything was really good the sauce the crust everything.

First time in, we kinda stumbled upon this place and the food is fantastic! Heaping portions so bring an appetite, it is a certified neapolitan pizza shop, and the pastas are awesome!

No WORDS can truly describe how AMAZING THEIR FOOD IS OR THEIR SERVICE.... PATTY was an ANGEL and made us feel more than just customers she made us feel like family and OMG the pizza I had was..... Like I said no words to describe the Excellency of our time there

I went here while was visiting family in the area and the food was pretty good but the service left something to be desired. We were the only customers in the restaurant, yet couldn't get a refill and the server got our order wrong, including bringing us a pizza we didn't even order. Yes, we were charged for that pizza. Even though the food is good, we probably won't be returning

Loooooved this place, the pizza was outstanding! The Fried Ravioli was to die for!! I can't wait to go back, I've had serious cravings for this place since. Thanks for a great meal!!

It was 👍 good. We ordered the spaghetti pie and the Italian stallion pizza 🍕 👍It was busy but not a long wait. The staff was very nice and the vibe was great.

After eating pizza here, I'm spoiled. I don't want any other pizza ever. We usually order the Bianca and the Italian Stallion....wow. The salads are great as well. Customer service is great and it's a nice and cozy ambience.

This is a really nice Italian restaurant in Old Town Glendale. Never noticed it until I went to the comic book store next door to it, then I noticed it was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so I had to check it out. Let me start off by saying that waitress we had was a very sweet, older lady, the overall restaurant has a home-y feeling to it. I had the lasagna pizza and my girlfriend had the “Bianca”. Have to say, definitely in the top pizzas I’ve tasted, homemade ricotta which was delicious and the crust was crispy. Will definitely be coming back to try their pasta dishes

Love this place. Atmosphere, prices, menu and food quality excellent. Have not been here post COVID but enjoyed the pizza and pasta dishes. Great seafood and bread too. We look forward to going back again and perhaps some pick up or delivery...on the pizza anyway. Highly recommend

Best. Pizza. Ever!!! Worth every penny. Went on a date with my other half and we loved the vibe the people were very nice and the food even better. We will definitely be coming back!

Been here several times around lunch. Pizza and dishes are fantastic. Crust on the pizza from the woodfire pizza ovens is unique as no one in area does this. Sets them apart from just any pizza place.

If you want a lot of flavor in your food, order the fried calzone but add pepperoni, sausage and grilled onions. It is delicious. Be sure you have someone to share it with or plan on leftovers.

This place is the best. Everyone knows this. It's not a secret. Giving them a favorable review is like giving Robert Sarver a bad review. Nothing you don't already know. Just go in and enjoy the food and get a cannoli.

My partner and I own a transmission shop in Glendale and had been wanting to try piazza al forno and especially to support local businesses during the pandemic. We called in to place an order and the lady who answered the phone was amazing! She was patient and explained their menu, suggested a few things and she was very patient. We picked it up and everything was great! The stallion pizza, calzone, fried meatballs and pasta tasted great! Good job guys we will definitely be back!

We loved this place! It a nice cozy Italian food restraunt with a nice family feel to it. Our food came out fast and fresh. We had the Italian Stallion pizza and an order of calamari. I highly recommend this place!

Neat place in downtown Glendale. Very similar to another restaurant I love to get pizza at so it was nice to know one was closer to me.

This place has THE BEST calamari I’ve ever tasted! This restaurant is small and clean.Great service and great authentic food.

Italian Stalion pizza and a Caprese antipasti. Great service and meal.sorry for no picture of antipasti as I was too hungry. See below for the fresh out of the oven(800 degree) and to my table. Worth the trip.

HOLY MOLY!! We live pretty far from here but I wanted to pick up pizza before taking my son to the drive-in movies. We looked up reviews and La Piazza Al Forno was the highest rated in the area so we gave them a try. We have a new pizza joint! Even though you are 13 miles from home I am only going to get pizza from here for now on. Anything else would just be a complete disappointment. Thank you for the wonderful customer service as well.

This place is good. Very good. The food is solid. They're pretty serious about this Covid Service which is weird but that's what we've got going on right now so it is what is. Italian Stallion pizza was really good. Also had the mussels diavolo. So good.

Amazing food! The crust is perfectly crisp and also light and fluffy at the same time. The pizza toppings are cooked perfectly and the cheeses so fresh! Fresh vegetables in the salads and so delicious. The plain Cheesecake is heavenly, smooth and lightly sweet! You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Ever since we moved to the Glendale area my husband and I have been so happy to find a delicious pizza/pasta place. Everything at La Piazza is delicious.

Amazing pizza and canolis!

Bruschetta was decent but the meatball appetizer was most excellent. Had a Margherta, Bianca and Diavialo (sic) which were all very good. 12” pie with one app is good for two average people. 5 of us has 3 pies and 2 apps which was perfect. Service was good and atmosphere casual. Will come again.

Heard they were some pretty outstanding folks who helped out lately with food donations... Ordered delivery last night.. on time, hot, fresh, packaged well.. and OMGOSH DELICIOUS!Rigatoni al Forno, fried calamari, fried ravioli, and cheesecake! Everything was amazing! They have won some picky neighbors hearts and tummys! Thank you so much for a great dinner! We cannot wait to order more!

I had the Calamari and also the Margherita pizza. Both were delicious.

Best pizzas EVER! I've tried nearly every one, and haven't found one I can say is my favorite. I've got a couple more to try...

We decided to give this place a try because it figured in a list of local restaurants which were featured in Chef Guy Fieri's culinary program DDD. And boy, were we happy about our choice. Their pizzas do taste different and definitely not mass produced. You've probably heard of the saying "There is no bad pizza". That may be true. But after having pizza from this place, I've come to believe there are really good pizzas out there and La Piazza Al Forno is one place to find them for sure.

Enjoyed this hidden gem. Food was fantastic!!! Pizza was perfect, the dough was great and toppings were plentiful. Dessert we had the homemade cheesecake ( delicious) which i would recommend. The zeppolis were nice and hot but lacked powdered sugar. This would be much better if served in a brown bag heavily coated in powered sugar. Still not bad though.

The pizza was awesome and so were the fried meatballs. I asked for sweet tea that wasn't sweet but it was very flavorful... If I'm ever in Arizona again I'd definitely come back!!!

Service was superb! Food came out quick and hot! Our family fell in love with this place. We loved the Sofia cocktail and Bianca pizza. Looking forward to coming back!

Great pizza! They have quite a few different pizzas on the menu. The menu also specifically states that they don't substitute, so if you're super picky, this may not be the place for you. We were there on a busy Thursday night during Glendale Glitters. The place was pretty full. And pretty loud. It took a bit of time to get the pizzas - they only offer one size - 14" - but acceptable considering everything going on. Oh, and we had the calamari appetizer which was good. The pizza was great!The service was friendly and as efficient as it could be with our group.

La Piazza Al Forno had a clean and nice atmosphere. I appreciated the hospitality of our waitress as she even decorated a cheesecake for our friend's birthday. If you're looking for comfort food, come and eat it where it's made right.
